Let’s begin with some good news, something that doesn’t come my way often.

I’ve finally got my new glasses; it is a significant improvement over the 2.0 that I had been using. I’m reading much better now and I’m quite relieved.

I had hesitated to step into an optical shop for an eye test for a long time because I knew I just couldn’t afford it yet.

Last week, I happened to pass by a Japanese optical store in Isetan. Their most budget-friendly frame was still within my means. The real cost is with the lens. I was supposed to go for multifocal lens but it’s out of my budget. I had to prioritize and focus on what was most important. The total cost came to $75, which was still manageable for me.
