If you were Will Smith, what will you do?

Life will never be the same again after the OSCARS with those holier-than-you-and-me riding on their high horses are flocking to cast some stones. Reminded me of that famous verse “ Let he who is without sin cast the first stone”. So biblical. Anyway, I’m not here holding any stones. I come in peace, I come seeking answers.

If you were Will Smith, what will you do?

How does some managed to stay so composed in that situation? It makes me feel uncomfortable every time I see it happening but I made sure to not miss every single reaction in the room. I wanted to learn from the best, how to react when one’s unwillingly become the topic of public mockery. That’s the pathetic reason why I watch award shows.

You know when one sees a shark in the water, one should try to remain calm with no sudden movements that may attract the shark and draws it closer. This never work between me and those “sharks”. They attack me no matter what. Maybe I’m easy prey.

When someone Chris Rock’ed me:
Insults and comebacks are never my forte so direct confrontation is totally out of the question. Most time I would pretend to laugh it off and act nothing’s wrong no matter how sick the joke was. That part almost convinced myself that I could act.

Back to earth, I’m struggling inside. Instinct said walk away but my anger wanted to slap that mouth off its face. More often than not, politically correctness takes priority for the sake of self preservation. I went home quietly and kicked myself for not able to do anything, for the umpteenth time.

So, what do you do? What shall I do?
