I Write One Article Every Month And Get $2,000 Easily

A passive income is what all writers aspire to, it’s the ultimate dream. Passive income can provide financial stability and the freedom to focus on other creative pursuits or personal interests.

It’s crucial to be aware that merely viewing an article without scrolling to the bottom might not count as a “read,” only registering as a “view” instead. This distinction is important for accurately tracking engagement metrics. Sharing this information with your followers can help them understand the significance of fully engaging with content by scrolling to the end allowing us to support writers and content creators more effectively, as every complete read matters in their journey.

Yeah, my ass. I mean, seriously, who falls for that crap? Oh, wait…I do. Every. Single. Time. I don’t know what word is even stupider than “idiot” but I’m pretty sure it applies to me. I mean, how many times do I have to learn the hard way that there’s no such thing as a free lunch? Or in this case, $2,000 per month with just one article. Is there anyone out there who have fallen for the same trap. We should start a support group or something.

For sure these writers who claim they’re making bank with just one article per month didn’t start off that way. They probably spent years building their audience and perfecting their craft. But they conveniently leave out that part in their click-bait titles. Now, I’m not saying it’s impossible to make a living as a writer. But let’s not pretend it’s an easy road. It takes hard work, dedication, and a little bit of luck to make it in this business.

And this takes us to the story of this afternoon. So, I was feeling pretty good after attending morning mass today. The sun was shining, birds were singing, and I was headed to grab some lunch nearby. But then, as I was leaving the church, I saw the guy in the wheelchair who’s always outside asking for money.

Now, I’m not exactly a millionaire, but I had a spare 5 bucks in my pocket (that’s about USD1.12), so I figured I’d give it to him. I mean, it’s not like there was a second collection at church today or anything, so why not spread the love, right? But as I got closer, I saw that there were already a bunch of people giving him money. Some were even throwing in 10 bucks! And then it hit me, he made more than me than my entire past year on Medium in just a few minutes: maybe I need those 5 bucks more than he does.

You see, I’m enrolled in this Medium partner program, but let me tell you, it’s not exactly a gold mine. I’m fortunate if I earn a dollar a month (and that’s even lesser than the 5 bucks which is still in my pocket), but to be fair, I wasn’t too active on the platform before. While my partner takes care of my lodging and meals, I’m still practically earning peanuts here and there and relying on the occasional kindness of strangers and not forgetting cup of coffees or some rare order for my handmade rosaries to keep me going. I mean, let’s be real here, rosaries aren’t consumables. Who’s going to buy a new one every month?

I’m really hoping my writing and other ventures will takes off soon because lately, I’ve been spewing out words and bleeding ink like it’s going out of style. Maybe it’s because I’m on a bit of a bipolar high, but I’m going to milk this creative burst for all it’s worth. I mean, I haven’t written much in the last five years, so I’m making up for lost time. I’ve been reading so much that my eyes feel like they’ve been permanently super-glued to my computer screen, and I’m pretty sure I need a new pair of glasses now. And you know what? I max clapped on every piece I read, hoping that karma will repay me in kind.

I also commenting nonstop, until Medium stops me. I recall reading an article that claimed leaving 150 comments per day can make a real impact on my Medium career. Though, they may have decreased that number to 100 by now. I don’t know. All I do know is that I’ll continue writing, reading, and commenting until I’m making more than that guy outside our church.

So, to all the writers out there who are struggling to make ends meet, don’t give up. Keep writing, keep hustling, and eventually, you’ll get there. As for my title, inspired by Kristina God and I’m sorry about it. I just want you to know how it feels to be stupider than idiot. Don’t be like Britt, falling for the same trick each time and never learn the lesson.

Disclosure: I would like to apologize in advance if it seems like there are a lot of personal and affiliate links in my content. However, at the moment, this is what I am doing to support myself, as I am not able to work in a traditional work space due to my mental health condition. I hope you can understand that I am just trying to make a living doing what I love. It is important for me to be transparent about this, as I want to be honest with my audience and readers. If you choose to purchase through my links at no extra cost to you, it not only helps me continue doing what I love but also helps to support my livelihood. Or you may also buy me a virtual coffee to keep me going!

Thank you for your understanding and support.
